Emergency Contraception
The emergency contraceptive pill Norlevo® 1.5mg is available without prescription. If you require Emergency Contraception( 'The Morning After Pill') you are required to have a brief private consultation with a pharmacist to determine if it is suitable for you. The service is available at all branches.
Compression Tight Fitting
We offer a comprehensive measurement and fitting service for compression stockings, socks and tights help to support healthy blood circulation. We stock Scholl and Mediven hosiery. A free service available at our William Street branch.
Flu Vaccinations
You can help prevent the flu by getting the flu vaccine every year. Prior to making your appointment, you are required to fill in a short questionnaire to determine if you are suited to having the vaccination. Available at our William Street and NUI branches. The vaccination is €25.00 or free with a medical card or if you are ‘In an at risk category’.
Hearing Test
A hearing assessment service is available on alternative Saturdays in our William Street pharmacy. A specialist Audiologist will assess your hearing in one of our private consultation rooms. The service is free of charge. Call us now to book an appointment.
Blood Pressure Testing
One of our trained consultants can take your blood pressure reading and offer advice on how you may help to keep your blood pressure within normal limits. It is a free service, available at all Matt O Flaherty Chemists.
Covid-19 Antigen Test
GlA Covid-19 antigen test service is available by appointment in our William St. Pharmacy.
If the result of the test is negative, you will be emailed an EU Digital Covid Certificate in less than one hour which you can upload to your phone (Covid Tracker App or similar). The test costs €40.
MediSmart Blister Packing Service
With our MediSmart Blister Packing Service, we will divide your tablets into separately sectioned blister packs, each marked with the time of day they should be taken. This will allow you or your carer to check that the right medicines have been taken at the right time.
